Liver Transplant Survivor Jillian Best Takes on Solo 30km Swim Across Lake Muskoka for Kids' Camp Kivita
On Saturday, July.29th, 2024, Jillian Best (Move for Life Foundation Executive Director and Founder) completed a 30km swim across Lake Muskoka to raise money for Camp Kivita. relay across Ontario.
$24, 645 raised by over 100 donors
Camp Kivita provides a weeklong experience for kids facing organ challenges. At Camp Kivita, the kids are looked after with all of their needs met by dedicated and specialized staff to ensure they can have fun without worrying about their health.

Team Relay and Solo Swim Efforts Each Swimming 30km to Support Camp Kivita on July 27th, 2024

The Relay Team
The Organ Donor Swim is moving into its 9th year! 5-6 swimmers will relay 30km across Lake Muskoka to spread awareness for organ donation, and raise funds to support kids to attend a weeklong transformative experience at Camp Kivita.

The Solo Swimmer
While the relay is taking place, Liver Transplant Survivor, Jillian Best, who has taken part in the relay the last 5 years, is attempting to solo swim the 30km distance this summer!

The Cause
Camp Kivita provides a weeklong camping experience for kids who have faced organ challenges, either needing a transplant or waiting for one. The dedicated camp and medical staff ensure the kids have a safe and fun week of activities that allows them to grow as individuals and bond with each other, making new friends and memories!
