2024 Walk-n-Talk Event in Support of the Move for Life Foundation

On Saturday, October 5 @ 10:00am (local time) at 3 national locations, Move for Life Foundation celebrated its 2nd annual 5km Walk-n-Talk event. This walk is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to reduce the wait time for organ transplants. This event is not just a walk but an opportunity to engage in important conversations about organ donation with your family and community.

Why Walk-n-Talk?

The Walk-n-Talk event is both active and educational. As we walk together, we will discuss the crucial topic of organ donation and the importance of communicating your wishes with your loved ones. By doing so, we can ensure that more lives are saved through organ transplants.

This year, we focused our fundraising efforts on two critical areas:

  • In London, Ontario: Funds raised supported Camp Kivita, a unique summer camp experience for children living with organ transplants and organ failure. Your contributions helped send these children to camp, offering them a magical environment where they can connect with others, build confidence, and enjoy a memorable summer—all at no cost to their families.

  • In Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan: The funds raised go directly to our Saskatchewan Family grant, which assists Saskatchewan families facing the financial strain of relocating to Edmonton, Alberta, for their child’s organ transplant and care. Your support will cover essential costs such as transportation, accommodation, and daily living expenses, easing their burden during a challenging time.
