intention

I feel now more than ever that I want to scream at the top of a mountain to say thank you and have everyone hear it and feel my sincerity. I am positive this won’t be the first and only time I feel this way.

My vision, the goal, the intention I’ve been putting into the universe for a little over a year now is coming alive.

It’s like last year began as a tightly wound ball of yarn and as the time goes by, my team and I have been working hard at unravelling the yarn and turning it into something awesome for all to see.

Was that a weird analogy? I think it was, but it made sense when I wrote it.

So if you think about it…what started out as an idea, has blossomed into a real event that will take place, involving many people who are each sharing the progress along the way.

The mission of Move for Life is to see that all in need of an organ transplant can receive one, by reducing the time on the waitlist for an organ transplant.

This message has been shared over the last week thousands of times.

Once the media caught wind of the swim, and heard what we are doing, we’re proud to say we have recently been in the local paper; The London Free Press, CTV News, CBC, and Global news radio! You can view these articles and interviews on the media tab on the website.

I’ve had a few friends comment, “you’re like famous now!”

I have to laugh, because it feels weird to receive that comment, and I am definitely not famous. However what I am trying to do, is working. The message is being heard!

The intention has always been to give back. This time, I wanted to do it big, and with help of my team and all supporters we are making it happen and it feels good!

My Mom, Bonnie. Always a huge support!

Do you realize the impact that just one person can make?

The words we use, the intention behind them, the people we tell, the connections we make, and the actions to support our words…all of this is proving to me that with time and consistency, we really can make cool shit happen!

I’m blown away each day to hear another person has donated, or someone has reached out because they read my story and it resonated with them so they felt they also wanted to share it and help in some way.

I also want to acknowledge the swimming and open-water swimming community.  I’ve met some really amazing people over the last year, who have passed on some incredible knowledge that only the experienced can fully understand and share.

If it weren’t for these people, I’d be having to figure out a lot on my own and likely be running into more setbacks and learning things the hard way.

Anyways, we’re just getting started.

There is still lots to do…to prepare for the swim, and continue to rally our efforts to make an impact on the mission at hand!
